We live in such a great community! When we moved in last year, we learned that of the many classes and events offered at the Community Center, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was one of them. This kids-only class is taught by an experienced coach that lives right here in our neighborhood. This guy is amazing–he’s not only a dad of three and a Christian, but he offers this class out of the goodness of his big heart two days a week for FREE. This really is no small feat! If you have ever looked into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes for kids…they’re not cheap! From the coach to the disciplines taught to the other kids that attend–everything about this class has been such a blessing to our family. Here is Nathan starting back after the class took a short summer break…

Starting his second year of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
He recently learned how to tie his own belt!

If you are in the market for a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu uniform for kids, Nathan is wearing an IBJJF tournament-approved uniform with KIMONO and white belt. The uniform material is preshrunk and lightweight, which means it also disperses sweat faster and is treated against any buildup of bacteria and fungal infections. Nathan wears his uniform to practice two days a week. I then wash it in cold and hang dry it. We have been very happy with this uniform and highly recommend it.
