Deanna and I took a little fishing journey. The nice thing about Massachusetts is that a fishing trip is nothing like the day trip required in AZ. We slapped the kayaks on top of the car and checked the line on the poles. With everything in order we drove 8 miles to drop the boats in the Sudbury River.
There is a small place to launch a boat on Route 20 in Wayland where we parked and put the boats in. We paddled a bit up the river randomly casting along the way. Every couple of minutes I could hear a little splash in the water and a scream from Deanna. The river is so low the fish are jumping and splashing all over the place.
Deanna was the first to catch a fish. She pulled in a nice little bass. At the end of the day she had three. I ended up catching two pickerel. Funny how we both caught different fish that day. I think it had to d o with her awkward reeling method and random lure jerks.
She said it was the first time she caught a bass and had a pretty good couple of hours on the river.
