After months of uncertanity about the New England winter weather myth, we finally were turned into beleivers. We finally had a chance to use our snow shovel. Rumor has it — you can't buy a snow blower until you make it through a regular winter with just a shovel. Well, my back is sore and there is still chunks of snow on my driveway. I think my 5 dollar shovel is broken too. It shows signs of stress marks where it flexed too much moving the snow.
Anyway, it was a nice day watching all of the snow fall. It was a mixture of sleet, snow and rain all in one. That makes for a real mess, but it does look nice outside. A smooth white blanket covers many areas. There are piles of dark dirty snow from all of the snow plows along most of the streets.
Deanna had the day off with a closure of the schools. Brad had a day to work from home to avoid the slippery drive. We took a couple pictures and will share them soon.
