Merry Christmas everyone! We hope that your holiday is wonderful and you really enjoy the time with your families. Oh – and don’t forget to remember what the season is REALLY about. With all the chaos we seem to bring upon ourselves, it is easy to get overwhelmed and forget why we are really celebrating after all.
This year has been pretty rewarding. Deanna finally finished playing around at "big kids" school and now works at an Elementary school. It seems like she has been going to school forever and now it has payed off. She really likes teaching first grade and comes home with a bunch of new stories every day.
Brad became involved in the International Christian Cycling Club this year. He is the Arizona Spoke Director and has worked on the main club website too. Along with working, riding, woodwoorking and playing with the animals in our zoo he has stayed pretty busy.
Oh, we also have a slew of new critters in our house. We have Bailey and Brandon (our Labs – of course), Gabby and Gracey (our Geckos), Jack (our rabbit), and Charolette (our Chilean Tarantula). Deanna has brought home critters from school in addition to getting geckos as a classroom pet. The critters spend some time in her class and the rest of the time in our house.
Together we did a couple fun rides this year. We borrowed a friends tandem bike and rode in the Tour of the Tucson Mountains in April. Then we did El Tour de Tucson on our own new tandem in November. We really like to ride around together, but we have a lot of practice to do before we will be able to ride around efficiently.
We also took a couple trips this year. We visted Darin and his family in Washington in the first part of the year. Later in October we went to visit Deanna’s family in North Carolina.
