Well, I am finally sitting down to update the site. There is some cool stuff to report on.

The most exciting news to report is that I, Deanna, have been offered a
first grade teaching position in the Vail School District. I am really
excited! I am currently finishing out the school year with my current
job in the district. My official start date will be in July.

Brad has been keeping very busy with his job. He has not had much time
to work at his second job of making pens. He is hoping to make time to
venture into making wooden bowls.

Our latest outdoor adventure took us on a tour of the Tucson Mountains.
Brad and I completed the seventy mile trip on a tandem bicycle that we
borrowed from one of Brad’s buddies. He was correct when he said that
the bike is a "relationship accelerator-which ever way your
relationship is going, the bike will get you there faster!" Yes, Brad
and I are still married. The ride was actually a lot of fun. I definitely trust
him more than I did before we rode all those miles together.Although, I
have to admit that I had my eyes closed during some parts of the ride.

This past weekend marked Butch and Anna’s (our parents) annual trip to
Tucson. We always enjoy our time with them even though it is most
always cut short by unexpected demands put forth by their various
rental properties. We are hoping to make a trip out to Kansas some time
in the near future.

Darin and Sara are still living in Washington. They are waiting for
orders that may involve another possible move. This time may be across country. The
four of them are doing well. Sara has started her own Mary Kay
business. Darin completed his first mountain bike race a few weeks ago.
Brendan is growing fast. He will be turning five this year. We are
hoping he will be coming out to stay with us for a few weeks this
summer. Alexia is also growing fast. She celebrated her first birthday
in March and has started walking.

Are dogs are still awesome. We spend as much of our time with them as we can.
There are talks of receiving another lab. Yes, I (Deanna) am in TOTAL
excitement! The dog in question is actually Sonora. She is the lab we
have babysat in the past. Her owner is moving and is in need of letting
her go. This story is to be continued…
